St. Aloysius Catholic School
The first day of school may cause anxiety and hesitation in some kids...Piper is not one of them. She has been so excited about her new classroom at her new school that she has been driving everyone nuts. I don't think 4K has ever been such a big deal. Lucky for all of us she has an awesome teacher, Mrs. Bratton. In fact, we had the option to let her stay at her daycare for 4K/5K but Mrs. Bratton was the deciding factor. We have known her through church forever and she is possibly the sweetest person you will ever meet. Piper is always doing crazy things and now that we are adding big girl responsibilities to the mix, we are looking forward to some funny stories to share. Stay tuned.
Piper with Mrs. Bratton on Sunday August 16th. We had a parish breakfast after mass so everyone could tour the school and see the classrooms.
Hugs from daddy before school. I think he got a little misty eyed when she put on her uniform.
Waiting to go in the classroom. That smile has been a permanent fixture since we started planning which uniform to wear and what to pack in her lunch the day before.
All the kids in 4k are new to the school so they wear name tags the first week. The teachers and older kids all learn their names and get to know them to make them feel more at home.
OMG! I started to get misty eyed as well! She looks so grown up in her little uniform! How adorable!! I love the pictures and cant wait to talk to you soon! Miss ya bunches.. give everyone hugs:)
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteI just had to tell you what Piper said Tuesday night. She had on that cute little blue, green and white top and she raised it up to tighten her belt. Her belt had the same colors as her top. I said, " Well, look at you. Your belt matches your shirt. Aren't you spiffy!" To which she said, "Yes, sometimes I am." I am so going to miss her! Thank you guys for EVERYTHING! The use of your car, your washer and dryer, Patrick's leak fixing skills, you taking care of the pool, keeping my grass mown, (thanks Zach, especially for that last time), sending us our mail, to name just a few. We love you guys and certainly hated to leave, but appreciate all you did to make it easier for us. We will miss you so much. I hope you guys get to be good friends with the Thomas family. Just for informations sake; they are Mormon. Let Piper give me a call every once in a while. Keep me updated with pictures. Oh, I almost forgot. I had the picture of the kids, probably from Easter, on my refrigerator along with some other kids. Tuesday night, Piper went and got the picture of her, Zach & Boo Bear and handed it to me. She was going to make sure I didn't forget it! Again, love you and thanks for everything!
